Are you thinking about all you have to do? The never-ending daily tasks that no matter how hard you try you continue to add more than you mark off.
I am always thinking… dreaming, planning. And yes, I’m also worrying, fearing, dreading, and at times, what-if-ing myself into a tailspin. But there’s a more powerful way to use our minds. We can take those thoughts and talk to God about them.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
So I made this shirt as a reminder to ask myself this important question throughout the day. Because it’s not always natural. Thinking is a subconscious action but prayer is a conscious choice. Can I be honest?
I’ve worn this shirt less than an hour and Jesus has already lovingly nudged me to stop worrying about something and pray about it. And maybe just maybe, it’ll encourage others around you to talk to God about what’s on their minds.
